CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Bulldogs spent nearly 9 hours on the water today to only get six "A" division and 4 "B" division races off in the Gill western semifinals. They trail the US Naval Academy by 12 points going into tomorrow's racing.

Today's racecourse saw multiple wind directions and speeds throughout the day, making it difficult for the race committee to set a course. Many races were abandoned or postponed, and sailors as well as race officials were exhausted after the long day in the South Carolina heat.

Sailing for Yale in "A" division was skipper senior Ian Barrows and senior crew Clara Robertson. Senior Mitchell Kiss and sophomore Nic Baird skipper the "B" division with crew Graceann Nicolosi.

Tomorrow conditions will be different, and the Bulldogs will be looking to finish solidly within the top nine to secure a spot at the national finals.
