NORFOLK, V.A. – The Bulldogs sailed 12 races during the first day of the LaserPerformance Team Race National Championships, scoring an impressive 10 wins and two losses. They currently stand in fourth place.

The 8-16 knot wind conditions and unpredictable swells provided the Bulldogs with unique opportunities for tactical manuevers and variable boat handling techniques.

Sailing for the Bulldogs were seniors Malcolm Lamphere and KB Knapp, junior Nic Baird, sophmore Graceann Nicolosi, and first years Shawn Harvey, Sonia Lingos-Utley, and Claudia Loiacono

The remaining flights of Round 1 will be sailed tomorrow, at which point the Top 8 will progress to a final round robin.
