Averaged 18 Points, 6.5 Rebounds, 6.0 Assists
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Miye Oni's full game was on display in Yale's weekend sweep of Columbia and Cornell. He averaged 18 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in the two games and has been rewarded by being selected as the Ivy League Player of the Week.
In the 88-84 victory over Columbia, Oni scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out six assists. He was 6-of-14 from the field and 5-of-9 from three-point range. The next night in a 74-65 win over Cornell, he had 19 points, six rebounds and six assists. Eleven of his points came in the second half as the Bulldogs pulled away after leading by only four at halftime.
Oni remains among the Ivy leaders in several categories, including scoring (8th, 15.1 ppg.), rebounding (7th 5.5 rpg.) and assists (6th, 3.4 apg.).
This is his second player of the week honor this season.
In addition, Azar Swain, who scored in double figures in both games, was named to the Honor Roll.
The Bulldogs are on the road this weekend, travelling to Dartmouth on Friday and Harvard on Saturday.
