Columbus, Ohio – After the first round of competition at the NCAA Columbus Regional, the Yale men's golf team finished at the back of the pack in the 13-team field following its 28-over, 312 performance on Monday. Individually, senior captain Will Bernstein led the Bulldogs with his 76 at Ohio State's Scarlet Course to place him in a tie for 41st while senior Henry Cassriel is two shots back of Bernstein after carding a 78 and sits in a tie for 58th.
No. 1 Oklahoma State leads the Columbus Regional after the opening round with its 3-under, 281 while No. 22 UNLV is one shot off the lead and in second place. Michael Feagles of Illinois leads all players with his three-under, 68 while the Rebels' Garrick Higgo is second overall at two-under. The top five teams in the regional will automatically advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship.
