    Harvard Takes 4-2 Decision The game had two shorthanded goals and a pair of power-play tallies along with 13 advantages. Those advantages went in favor of No. 3 Harvard, which scored twice, including a 5-on-3, to take a 4-2 win over Yale at Ingalls Rink.

    Harvard, Dartmouth Coming to Whale The Yale men’s hockey team (10-10-5, 6-8-4) closes out the home regular season slate by hosting Harvard and Dartmouth in a weekend celebrating both the seniors and alumni. The Bulldogs and No. 3 Crimson (18-5-2, 12-4-2) skate on Friday, while the Big Green (9-13-3, 6-10-2) come to Ingalls Rink Saturday night. Both contests can be seen on the Ivy League Digital Network at 7 p.m. A limited number of tickets (Friday SRO only) are available for both.

    Blue Comes Back on Red For 2-2 Tie An old school ECAC and Ivy League showdown in a college hockey cathedral had an old fashioned defensive battle that may have been the game of the night in amateur sports. Ted Hart scored twice and Sam Tucker made 27 saves as the Yale men’s hockey team skated to a 2-2 OT tie against No. 12 Cornell before a sellout crowd at Lynah Rink.

    Snowstorm Changing Skaters’ Slate Today’s snowstorm has already impacted the Yale men’s hockey schedule for this weekend. The Bulldogs will now play Saturday at 7 p.m. at Cornell and then head to Colgate for a 3 p.m. contest on Sunday.

Two Tigers notched a pair of goals to lead them to a 4-2 win that ended the Bulldogs’ unbeaten streak at six games.

    Princeton, Quinnipiac Coming to Whale The Yale men’s hockey team (10-7-4, 6-5-3) takes the nation’s second longest unbeaten streak into a key conference set this weekend in New Haven with Princeton (8-11-2, 3-9-2) and No. 19 Quinnipiac (14-11-2, 8-6-1). The Bulldogs, coming off a sweep of Brown last week, host the Tigers and Bobcats in a pair of games with 7 p.m. puck drops that air live on the Ivy League Digital Network. There are limited tickets remaining for Friday's game (also on ESPN3), but everything is sold out for Saturday.

    Unbeaten Streak to 6 The Bulldogs are 6-1-2 in the new year and now have a six-game unbeaten streak thanks to a 4-1 win and a weekend sweep of ECAC Hockey travel partner Brown. Evan Smith scored twice and Sam Tucker stopped 24 of 25 shots in goal to help Yale erase a 1-0 deficit with four straight goals in front of a sellout crowd at Ingalls Rink.

    Hart Goal Caps Comeback Win Henry Hart’s power-play shot from the point with 5:54 left was the game-winner in a 4-3 ECAC Hockey win for Yale over Brown. That goal from the junior defenseman was the culmination of a comeback from two goals down that enabled the Elis to grab two important conference points.

    Spano Named ECAC Goalie of Week Saturday night at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center, Patrick Spano earned a share of the Tim Taylor Cup, annually awarded to the most valuable player of the Yale-Harvard game at Boston. The night before, a former Yale goalie, Keith Allain ’80, earned his 200th career coaching victory on the Eli bench. The three-point weekend celebration for the Bulldogs was highlighted by those two milestones.

    Bulldogs Get OT Tie at Boston One of the oldest rivalries in college hockey produced one of the best games of the 2016-17 season. Patrick Spano stopped 33 of 34 shots and Ted Hart scored his sixth goal of the year as Yale completed a three-point road weekend with a 1-1 overtime tie at No. 6 Harvard.

    Bulldogs Light Up Hanover Holiday lights recently came down around this pretty New England town, but the Bulldogs lit the lamp enough tonight at Thompson Arena for another celebration of lights. Charlie Curti had two goals and four points and five other Elis hit the net, while Patrick Spano stopped all 22 shots he faced, in Yale’s 7-0 win over Dartmouth in ECAC Hockey action.

    Hayden Goal with :59 Left Beats Clarkson Game-winning goals with under a minute to play don’t come along that often. In fact, the Bulldogs had not lit the lamp that way since 2012. That changed tonight in a 2-1 Yale victory over Clarkson at Ingalls Rink. John Hayden went top shelf with 59 seconds left to give the Elis an important ECAC Hockey win.

    Bulldogs Buzz UConn 4-2 HARTFORD, Conn. – Not even blizzard-like conditions could slow the Bulldogs as they buzzed through the capital city this afternoon. Four different Yale hockey players found the net, including two straight on a five-minute power play in the second period, and goalie Sam Tucker earned his first collegiate victory in a 4-2 decision over Connecticut before 4,909 at the XL Center.

The Bulldogs (5-6-2) are coming off a 5-4 win over Northeastern on Tuesday, while the Huskies (8-6-6) returned last week from the Desert Hockey Classic with a tournament title.

    Bulldogs Beat Ottawa 7-1 It didn’t take long for the Bulldogs to provide gifts for the fans who attended tonight’s toy drive and exhibition game for the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. Yale, which collected plenty of toys from the fans to donate to the hospital, got a goal 48 seconds in and another before the two-minute mark on the way to a fan-friendly, 7-1 victory over the University of Ottawa at Ingalls Rink.

    Fast Start Ignites Yale in 7-3 Win Anyone who got caught in pre-game traffic outside Ingalls Rink prior to this ECAC Hockey contest missed a bunch of goals. Three players hit the net twice as their team enjoyed its most prolific offensive night in two and a half seasons. Yale, which found the net on its first two shots, scored three times in the first four minutes on the way to a 7-3 victory over Rensselaer before 3,113.

    Allain, 1996 Team USA Going to HOF Keith Allain ’80, Yale’s Malcolm G. Chase Head Coach, was an assistant coach for the United States team that won the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, the tournament that replaced the Canada Cup. USA Hockey announced yesterday that the 1996 squad will be enshrined into the U.S. team United States Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2016.

    Yale Has Another OT Draw With Clarkson They skated to an overtime tie six days ago in Potsdam, N.Y., and the only difference today was that one team had to advance in the 2016 Shillelagh Tournament. It goes down as a 2-2 OT draw for the NCAA, but the tournament requires Yale or Clarkson to advance, and the Golden Knights took the shootout, 3-1.

    Yale Plays Clarkson at ND Tourney Thanksgiving at South Bend, Ind., this year includes an event attended by Fighting Irish, Crusaders, Golden Knights and Bulldogs. They will not be sitting down at the same dinner table, but they are competing with each other for a championship in the 2016 Shillelagh Tournament hosted by Notre Dame. The Yale men’s hockey team takes on Clarkson in game one at 4 p.m. on Friday at The Compton Family Ice Arena. Holy Cross takes on Notre Dame in the 7:30 p.m. contest.
