  • Brandau, Gaudet Lead Yale Past Cornell

    First-year attackman Matt Brandau entered today’s Ivy League opener against No. 3/4 Cornell with 5 goals in his young collegiate career. The Under Armour All-American at Boys’ Latin School of Maryland put 6 on the Reese Stadium scoreboard to help No. 3/4 Yale win its fourth straight game, 16-11.
  • Big Red Comes to Reese Saturday

    This one has been circled on calendars since they met in New York City for the 2018 league tournament title. Yale and Cornell, both ranked No. 3 and 4 in the latest major polls, meet Saturday at Reese Stadium in the 2019 Ivy League opener. The 1 p.m. face-off airs live on ESPN News.
  • Sessa, Daniggelis, Tigh Drafted by MLL

    While the No. 3/4 Yale Lacrosse team was in Atlanta preparing to play Michigan last weekend, Major League Lacrosse had its collegiate draft. Three Bulldogs, Jack Tigh, John Daniggelis and Joseph Sessa, were selected between the third and fifth rounds.
  • No. 4 Yale Beats Michigan 17-11

    The defending national champions, who played three straight one-goal games at home to start the 2019 season, didn’t have to worry about another tight contest today in their first game outside of New Haven. The No. 4 Bulldogs scored 6 straight goals between the second and third quarters on the way to a 17-11 win over Michigan in Atlanta’s College Lacrosse Classic at Grady Stadium.
  • Bulldogs Head to Atlanta to Face Michigan Sunday

    All three of its games this winter have been decided by a goal. The No. 3/4 Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team (2-1) doesn’t expect things to get easier as it moves into spring. The Bulldogs get another test this Sunday with a 1 p.m. game against Michigan (3-1) at Grady Stadium in the Atlanta (Ga.) College Lacrosse Classic. This matchup is scheduled to air live on Youtube.
  • Tigh a Candidate for Senior CLASS Award

    Thirty of the top NCAA® men’s lacrosse student-athletes who excel both on and off the field were selected as candidates today for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award® in collegiate lacrosse. Senior Jack Tigh was one of the selections, representing the No. 4 ranked Yale Lacrosse Team.
  • Gaudet OT Goal Helps Yale Beat UMass 12-11

    Matt Gaudet converted a pass from Brian Tevlin with 53.4 seconds left in overtime as the No. 4 Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team came from behind to beat UMass 12-11.

  • Ierlan Named Ivy Player of Week

    Yale’s TD Ierlan, who broke three Division I records last year playing for Albany, earned his first Ivy League Lacrosse Player of the Week honors after having a huge performance in the 14-13 win over No. 2 Penn State last Saturday.
  • No. 6 Yale Edges No. 2 Penn State

    The acronym for the position is FOGO, which stands for face-off and “get off.” TD Ierlan, Yale’s FOGO, didn’t always get off the field today, but he was crucial in getting the Bulldogs a victory. Facing a team that had scored 61 goals in its first three games, the No. 6 ranked Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team registered a gut-wrenching, 14-13 win over second-ranked Penn State before a packed house at Reese Stadium. Ierlan won 25 of 31 face-offs, scored a goal and helped the Elis secure their first win of the year by controlling possession time against a high-flying offense.

    The NCAA celebrated the accomplishments of former college athletes Wednesday evening at its Honors Celebration in Orlando, Fla., where the leaders in college sports have assembled for the 2019 NCAA Convention. The annual awards dinner celebrates individuals who have made a significant impact in college athletics, and Ben Reeves ’18 received the NCAA Today’s Top 10 Award for his prolific deeds on and off the field.
  • Stimmel Named to 2020 U.S. Men's U19 Coaching Staff

    Andrew Stimmel, the offensive coordinator of the Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team, has been named an assistant coach for the U.S. Men’s U19 Team that will compete for the 2020 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Men's World Championship in Limerick, Ireland.
  • 4 Bulldogs Named to IL All-American Team

    The season is just around the corner, so it’s time for the prognostications to begin. The defending national champions were already picked No. 1 to start the 2019 season, and now four Bulldogs have been included on the Inside Lacrosse Pre-Season Media Division I All-American list.
  • Reeves Named NCAA Today’s Top 10 Award

    He was an All-American captain who led his team to its first NCAA Championship. Between classes and lacrosse practices he worked to find ways to cure disease. Ben Reeves, whose impact on and off the field made him a role model for Yale Athletes, was named one of the NCAA Today’s Top 10 Award, which will be presented to him on Jan. 23 at the annual convention in Orlando.
  • Shay Named USILA Coach of Year

    He was honored by the Ivy League and the ECAC, now Andy Shay has completed the coach of the year trifecta. Yale’s Head Coach today was named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) 2018 Coach of the Year at the organization’s awards luncheon.

    The World Champions defeated the National Champions in a very competitive exhibition contest called the Team USA Fall Classic. Team USA, the 2018 World Champions, edged the 2018 NCAA Champion Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team today by a score of 12-7.

    The 2018 NCAA Champion Yale men’s lacrosse team is back in action at home for the first time since winning the national title last spring at Gillette Stadium. On Sunday, Oct. 14, at 1:30 p.m. the Bulldogs host Notre Dame at Reese Stadium.
