Yale Looking to Secure 2-0 Start
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bulldogs play their second match of the season on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. as they open Ivy play with Brown at home. The Elis are coming off an 8-1 opening-match victory against Drexel.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK
The Elis surrendered only one match to Drexel last week behind stellar performances from No. 1 seed Spencer Lovejoy and three stand-out first-years: No. 2 Nadav Raziel, No. 6 Eric Kim and No. 7 Tiber Worth.
No. 15 Brown (1-0) is coming off an 8-1 victory over No. 18 Bates last Saturday. Since the 2010-2011 season, Yale is 9-0 against Brown, forfeiting only four total games in the (8 or 9?) eight-year time span. The Bulldogs' most notable match against Brown was an 8-1 victory in the Hoehn Cup semifinals last season.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Since 2010, Yale has gone undefeated in its second match of the season. All eyes are on the Bulldogs to notch another second-match win and secure a victory against their first Ivy League opponent this season.
