NEW HAVEN, Conn. – On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Yale men's swimming and diving team will compete with University of Connecticut and Boston University in a tri-meet at UConn.
The Bulldogs posted strong performances at the Virginia Tech Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. on Nov. 17-19, where they finished fourth ahead of UConn. Standout swims included senior Ben Lerude's second place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle and junior Jonathan Rutter's Collegeswimming.com Swimmer-of-the-Week performances.
"UConn and Boston University are natural rivals for our program based on proximity and our guys enjoy testing themselves against the better programs in our region," said Tim Wise, the Robert J. H. Kiphuth Head Coach of Men's Swimming and Diving. "We have had a good week of preparation since returning from Thanksgiving break and are excited to race."
Last season, Yale met both UConn and BU at a tri-meet in Piscataway, N.J; The Bulldogs emerged on top, defeating UConn 257-96 and BU 246-107.
The meet will kick off at 1:00pm at UConn's Wolff-Zackin Natatorium in Storrs, Conn.
