NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's swimming and diving team will compete in the Ohio State Invitational on Nov. 17-19, a three-day competition hosted by Ohio State at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.
"Our team believes in the process and we believe in each other," remarked Kyle Schack, the associate head coach. "We are excited to see this team take the next step forward toward their goals."
In addition to Ohio State, the Bulldogs will take on Kentucky, Kenyon, NC State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia. Yale fell to Penn State last season 185-168 in a close contest, but has not competed against the other teams recently.
Coming off a highly-contested defeat over Columbia on Nov. 11, the Bulldogs will look to bounce back as they continue to post strong performances. Recently, senior Aaron Greenberg broke Columbia's pool record in the 50-yard freestyle at 19.96, the 16th fastest time in the nation according to CollegeSwimming.com. Senior Kei Hyogo also currently holds the 18th fastest time in the nation in the 500-yard freestyle at 4:26.08 and was named Mid-Major Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com for his performance at Columbia.
The meet will kick off Friday morning and end on Sunday evening, with prelims at 10:00 a.m. and finals at 6:00 p.m. on each day of competition. More information about the meet can be found here.
