  • Bulldogs Set New Personal Records at Valentine Invitational

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. -  The Yale men’s track and field team competed earlier today at the 2018 David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University. The meet featured some of the toughest competition for the men's track and field team this season, nevertheless, the Bulldogs came away with many successful performances. The Elis competed well and continued to build on their strong momentum as Ivy Heps approaches.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's track and field team will travel to Boston University on Saturday to compete in the 2018 David Hemery Valentine Invitational. This meet is one of the largest and most competitive of the year for the Bulldogs, featuring thousands of the country’s best collegiate and professional athletes. Even with such stiff competition, expect to see many Bulldogs still finishing high in their events. Most of the athletes on the team will be competing in their ideal events on Saturday, and a few athletes will be making their season debuts.
  • Vaughns and Laut Claim Victory at the Villanova Invitational

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's track and field team traveled to the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Center in Staten Island, N.Y., for the Villanova Invitational earlier today. Vincent Vaughns claimed victory in the 200m dash against an impressive field, setting a new personal record of 21.61 seconds. Vaughns' time is just 0.02 seconds away from the school record set last year my Marc-Andre Alexandre. Coming off a personal record performance in the 60m dash from last week, Vaughns' season is shaping up very well. The Bulldogs also found victory with Austin Laut in the pole vault, where he jumped 4.85m.
  • Elis to Compete in the Villanova Invitational

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's track and field team will travel to Staten Island, N.Y., for the Villanova Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Center on Saturday. After coming off a tough weekend of competition, many of the Bulldogs will be taking off this meet in order to rest and recover. Nonetheless, expect to see all healthy field athletes and sprinters competing, as they continue to prepare for the approaching Ivy League Championships later this month.
  • Elis Finish Third Against Harvard and Princeton

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The men's track and field team finished in third place at the annual Harvard-Yale-Princeton meet held in Cambridge, Mass. this weekend. Princeton was the team champion and Harvard placed second. Many of the Bulldogs’ individual competitors set personal or seasonal records, and although only one Bulldog won their event, many others scored points.
  • Bulldogs Travel to Harvard for HYP Meet

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men’s track and field team will be traveling to Cambridge, Mass., for the Harvard-Yale-Princeton tri-meet this weekend. Each year, this meet provides strong and passionate competition for the Bulldogs against two of their largest rivals. Last week, against Dartmouth and Columbia, the Bulldogs had a strong showing: they took home second place in a close team race with Dartmouth. This meet will prove to be a valuable opportunity for the Bulldogs to gauge their fitness approaching the Ivy League Championships, as Princeton is the returning Ivy League champion.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Yale men's track and field team took second place at the Yale-Columbia-Dartmouth tri-meet with 69 points behind Dartmouth with 83 points and ahead of Columbia with 26 points. This meet served as the first meet of the season for many of the Elis who competed this weekend.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn.—On Saturday, the Yale men's track and field team will travel to Hanover, N.H., for its first Ivy League competition of the indoor season. The Bulldogs will be competing in the Yale-Dartmouth-Columbia tri-meet in what will be their first away meet as well as their first scored meet, meaning that this will be a fantastic opportunity for the team to assess which events may need polishing before Ivy Heps in February.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's track and field team hosted the 36th Annual Yale Collegiate Invitational this weekend at Coxe Cage, featuring many different teams from the region. The Bulldogs fielded only one competitor, as the rest of the team rested in preparation for their first taste of Ivy League competition this upcoming weekend at the Yale, Dartmouth and Columbia tri-meet.

    The Yale men's track and field team will host its second home indoor meet of the season on Saturday at Coxe Cage. The 36th Yale Collegiate Invitational will kick off the Bulldogs' spring semester competition, which will feature a meet every week until the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships in late February.
