WALTHAM, Mass. - The Yale women's fencing team, for the second year in a row, swept the Brandeis Invitational.
The team fenced five schools—Boston College, Brandeis, Incarnate Word, MIT and St. John's—and defeated them all. The saber squad went undefeated against MIT, Incarnate Word and Brandeis, while women's foil did not drop a single bout to St. John's. The first years, in particular, fenced especially well. Lauren Kim, Camille Pham and Mary Barnett went 11-1, 11-2 and 10-2, respectively, for the day. Sophomore epeeist Michelle Nam lead the day with a 14-1 win record.
The Bulldogs will be back on the road in January, when they head to the Penn State Invitational.
