Bulldogs Face Another Tough Weekend

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After a weekend against two ranked foes on the road, the Yale Bulldogs (9-12-14, 7-9-2 ECAC) will be dealing with round two. Friday night, Yale travels to sixth ranked Cornell before battling fourth ranked Colgate on Saturday afternoon.

Yale fell in both games last weekend after entering with a four game winning streak. The Bulldogs took nationally ranked number one Clarkson to the brink, falling in a tight 2-1 battle. Gianna Meloni, the ECAC Goaltender of the Month for January, made 23 saves to keep it close, while first year Greta Skarzynski scored Yale's only goal.

The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a power play tied for third best in the nation, checking in at 25 percent, which is best in the ECAC. Their combined success rate on special teams at 59.6 percent leads the nation, as their 17th ranked penalty kill has also been carrying a sizable load.

Friday night's match can be seen on the Ivy League Digital Network. The puck drops at 6 p.m. as the Bulldogs clash with the Big Red.
