Souliotis, Meloni, Skarzynski Recognized

PRINCETON, N.J.  -  Three Yale players have been recognized as tops among their peers by the Ivy League. The league honored Mallory Souliotis (First Team), Greta Skarzynski (Second Team), and Gianna Meloni (Honorable Mention) after a vote of the head coaches.

Souliotis, a senior defenseman, earned a spot on the league's first team for the first time after posting four goals and an Ivy best 20 assists. Her 24 points were the most for an Ivy League defensemen.

Skarzynski, a first year skater, had a stellar opening season with the Bulldogs, including a team-high 25 points that included 14 goals and 11 assists. Her 14 goals were tied for fourth-most in the Ivy League.

Meloni, another first-year phenom for Yale, finished the regular season with a 6-5-1 record that included a .932 save percentage and a 1.85 goals against average. Her save percentage was second among all Ivy goalies, while she ranked third in goals against average.

The three Bulldogs are on the way to Northern New York to face No. 2 Clarkson in the first round of the ECAC Hockey Playoffs.
