Six Bulldogs Earn NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Recognition

Honored For Work In Classroom

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Bulldogs once again shined in the classroom. Six Yale student-athletes were named All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2016-17 academic year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Rachel Paris, Camille Weisenbach, Francesca Casalino, Sydney Ginsberg, Lindsay Kuss and Giovy Webb were each honored.

Paris earned the award in each of her four seasons. Weisenbach was a three-time selection, while Ginsberg was honored for the second straight season.

In all, a record 7,351 softball players across seven membership divisions earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.

The criteria for the award is a 3.5 or getter grade point average in the academic year.
