The Yale Women's Squash Team finished third in the 2018 Ivy League Scrimmage last weekend on the courts of the Brady Squash Center inside Payne Whitney Gym. On Sunday, the team defeated Penn 7-2 to grab the third spot. On Saturday, the team beat Cornell 8-1 before falling to Princeton 7-2.
Two months of training evoked a strong showing by the Yale Women. Brooks G. Ragen Director of Squash, Dave Talbott, reflected on the weekend by discussing the team's training program, "Sr. Assistant Lynn Leong and Assistant Tim Lasusa have worked diligently and effectively this fall to implement a new training program, with our strength coach Mike Harris, being a key figure in our fall program. The level of play in the matches this weekend showed that we are stronger and moving better on the court to attack the ball. If we keep working we can contend for a top three finish in the country," said Talbott.
The Yale Women are back in action on Nov. 30 against Drexel for the opening regular season match.
