Shklover, Yang and Zordani Emerge Victorious
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale women's tennis team narrowly fell to Princeton 4-3 on Friday at the Lenz Tennis Center.
Princeton quickly took the doubles point then advanced to a 3-0 lead after victories on courts 4 and 6. Playing in the No. 2 spot, sophomore Amy Yang contributed Yale's first point after cruising past Tiffany Chen 6-2, 6-1. At No. 3 singles, junior Elizabeth Zordani came back from a first set loss to defeat Clare Mckee 2-6, 6-2, 6-3. Adding to Yale's momentum, junior Valerie Shklover also charged back from a first set loss, overcoming Caroline Joyce 1-6, 7-5, 6-2 on court 3.
With the score level at 3-3, the match depended on the outcome of the No. 1 singles competition. While junior Carol Finke took the first set 6-2, she ultimately fell to Katrine Steffensen 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Yale will next travel to Philadelphia to compete against Penn on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
