Bulldogs Top Three at Two Interconference Events

The Bulldogs had a successful weekend against the some of the best teams from around the country at interconference events, the Danmark and the Moody.

Danmark – 2nd (68 points)

(A)  Nic Baird / Sonia Lingos-Utley – 2nd (32 points)

(B)  Shawn Harvey / Claudia Loiacono (Saturday) / Anisha Arcot (Sunday) – 4th (36 points)

Moody – 3rd (94 points)

(A)  Nick Hernandez / Catherine Webb – 2nd (42 points)

(B)  Dylan DiMarchi / Anisha Arcot (Saturday) / Helena Ware (Sunday) – 4th (52 points)

Smith – 11th (254 points)

(A)  Nicholas Marwell / Cate Mollerus – 11th (111 points)

(B)  Martin Tipton / Helena Ware (Saturday) / Emery Wallace (Sunday) – 13th (143 points)

Lark Invite – 4th (123 points)

(A)  Sam Tobin / Emery Wallace (Switching positions each set) – 6th (57 points)

(B)  Christophe Chaumont / Katie Clulo – 9th (66 points)

At the Danmark, the team barely lost to a young Stanford squad. The event saw very few races as the breeze was too unstable for much of the weekend.

The Moody saw better breeze and more races. The team kept it close with the leaders and came on strong at the end, but it wasn't enough to catch first place.

The Smith and Lark Invite events allowed younger sailors to get more experience in NEISA's most challenging and unpredictable venues.
