The Bulldogs dropped both games of a doubleheader at Harvard on Saturday afternoon in Cambridge, Mass.

Yale (10-16) lost the first game 10-8, and fell 3-0 in the second.  The Bulldogs are now 4-4 in conference play, while Harvard (16-16) improved to 6-2.

Scott Politz gave up one run and struck out nine over eight innings in game one and took a no-decision as Harvard came back to win in the ninth on a walk-off victory.

Dai Dai Otaka went 3 for 5 for Yale with an RBI and run scored in game one, while Griffin Dey had two hits and three RBI.  Simon Whiteman also scored two runs.

In game two, the Bulldogs were shutout for only the second time in 26 games this season.  Alex Stiegler pitched into the eighth and gave the Bulldogs a solid performance in game two.

Stiegler struck out seven and did not walk a batter in 7 and 1/3 innings.  Yale produced only four hits -- one each from Mason LaPlante, Jake Gehri, Tim DeGraw and Pierce Blohowiak.

The two teams wrap up the series tomorrow with a single game at noon.
