NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- For the second straight week, Yale's Kumar Nambiar was named Ivy League Pitcher of the week, the league office announced on Monday.

Nambiar delivered a two-hit, complete-game shutout at Dartmouth and helped the Bulldogs complete a doubleheader sweep on Sunday.  Last week, Nambiar threw a three-hit shutout at Penn.

"Not a whole lot to say," Yale head coach John Stuper said. "The kid has been absolutely dominant for two starts in a row, on the road, at two of our league's toughest parks. Another well deserved honor."

On Sunday, Nambiar retired the first 15 batters of the game.  He struck out nine and did not walk a batter while facing three over the minimum.

In six Ivy League starts this season, Nambiar is 3-0 with a 2.59 ERA in 41 2/3 innings.  Nambiar, along with Yale's two other weekend starters -- Scott Politz and Alex Stiegler -- have won pitcher of the week honors.

The Bulldogs are 10-8 overall in Ivy League play and are still in the confernece post-season hunt with three games left to play.
