2018-19 (Senior): Rowed in the third and later fourth varsity eight, both of which went undefeated during the regular season. Rowed in the fourth varsity eight that placed first at the Eastern Sprints.

2017-18 (Junior): Rowed in the third varsity eight throughout the regular season with wins over Navy, MIT, Georgetown, Penn and Columbia. Rowed in the fourth varsity eight with wins over Dartmouth and Harvard. Rowed in the fourth varsity eight that placed third at the Eastern Sprints. 

2016-17 (Sophomore):  Rowed in the fourth varsity eight throughout the regular season. Four seat of the fourth varsity eight that placed fifth at the Eastern Sprints.

Before Yale: Competitive swimmer in High School. In high school, swam at St. Charles and was a three-time first team All-Central District swimmer and two-time first team All-Ohio. Sam also played water polo for St. Charles and was the captain as a senior. He finished his water polo career with three state championships and two second-team All-State awards. 

Off the Water: Member of the Naval ROTC program at Yale and will commission as an officer in the United States Navy when he graduates ... Member of the Yale Multidisciplinary Academic Program in Human Rights.
