Yale Prepares for Regular Season Finale Against Harvard, Princeton
NEW HAVEN, Conn. —  The No. 5 Yale lightweights will travel to Princeton, N.J., to face off against traditional rivals #4 Harvard and #2 Princeton for the Goldthwait and Vogel Cups. The Goldthwait Cup, inaugurated in 1925, is awarded to the fastest Varsity crew of the day. The Vogel Cup, named after Yale oarsman and long-time coach David H. Vogel '71, is awarded to the program who accumulates the most points across all five boat classes during the morning:
 
Varsity Eight: 16 Points (1st); 12 Points (2nd); 8 Points (3rd)
2nd Varsity Eight: 10; 8; 6
3rd Varsity Eight: 8; 6; 4
4th Varsity Eight: 5; 4; 3
5th Varsity Four: 2; 0; X
 
All three programs will field four eights and Yale and Harvard will contest the 5th varsity coxed four. Yale last won the Vogel and Goldthwait Cups in 2016. The races will be streamed on ESPN+ here.
