Defenseman Plays for Devils Affiliate

Glens Falls, NY – Adam Larkin '18, a standout Yale defenseman for the last four years, is in the middle of an amateur tryout with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL.

Larkin has already played 3 games of his 5-game ATO with the affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.

"If I play Friday and Saturday, it could be expiring this weekend, or they may choose to extend my time here," said Larkin, who played 126 collegiate games and had 31 points and helped the Bulldogs get to a pair of NCAA Tournaments.

Larkin, who led Yale blueliners with 14 points in 2016-17, played two seasons of junior hockey, one apiece with the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings of the NAHL and the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL.

"It's a much different game here," said Larkin of the ECHL. "The players are smart and always thinking a few plays ahead. It's not quite as physical as the college game, you are required to play with a lot more poise."
