Spring Academic All-Ivy Announced
June 26, 2019The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2018-19 Academic All-Ivy honors in its spring sports, and 10 Bulldogs were selected. The 10 thrived in their sport and in the classroom, as starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each Ivy institution nominated five men and five women from its eligible student-athletes. -
Morrill named 2020 Captain
May 30, 2019Jackson Morrill, an All-American attackman who broke the school record for assists and points by a junior this spring, has been named captain of the 2020 Yale Lacrosse Team after a team vote. -
Bulldogs Get Association Awards
May 28, 2019Yale finished as the No. 2 ranked team in the final USILA coaches poll, and some of the Bulldogs who made that happen were honored with association awards following the second straight championship weekend appearance. -
Bulldogs Fall To Virginia in National Title Game
May 27, 2019The Bulldogs came within a game of successfully defending their national championship today. No. 5 Yale ran into a hot goalie and a sharp-shooting offense, falling 13-9 to No. 3 Virginia in the NCAA Championship Game at Lincoln Financial Field. -
Yale Takes on Virginia in National Title Game
May 26, 2019The Bulldogs and Cavaliers, who have 6 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships between them, square off Monday at Lincoln Financial Field for the 2019 national title. No. 5 seed Yale (15-3) takes on No. 3 Virginia (16-3) for the first time in 28 years at 1 p.m. in a contest airing live on ESPN2. -
Bulldogs Beat No. 1 Penn State in NCAA Semi
May 25, 2019The Bulldogs have an opportunity to defend their 2018 national championship on the final day of the 2019 college lacrosse season. Eleven different players scored goals, including seven from rookie Matt Brandau, and Tewaaraton Finalist TD Ierlan won 28 face-offs and scooped 20 ground balls as the Yale Lacrosse Team defeated No. 1 Penn State, 21-17, in the national semifinals today at Lincoln Financial Field. -

7 Bulldogs Get USILA/Warrior & NB Honors
May 24, 2019Seven members of the 2019 Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team have earned USILA/Warrior & New Balance Division I All-America accolades. They are all in Philadelphia this weekend trying to help the defending national champions reach another Memorial Day clash. -
Tevlin Named Unsung Hero
May 23, 2019Brian Tevlin, the Yale Lacrosse sophomore who missed two games this spring to donate marrow through the Be The Match Registry has been named the Division I male recipient of the 2019 Yeardley Love Unsung Hero Award. -
Rooney Wins Elite 90
May 22, 2019Brendan Rooney got a nice surprise tonight at the championship weekend banquet on the Battleship New Jersey. The Yale senior attackman was named the recipient of the Elite 90 award for the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship. -
Yale-Penn State in NCAA Semi at The Linc
May 21, 2019The defending national champions are back in the NCAA Semifinals this Saturday. The Bulldogs (14-3), the No. 5 seed, take on top-seeded Penn State (16-1), which is looking to avenge its only loss of the 2019 season. The “Northern” semifinal at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia airs live on ESPN2 following the noon “Southern” semi of No. 2 Duke and No. 3 Virginia. -
Tigh’s OT Goal Sends Yale To NCAA Semis

The Elis played the Quakers in the regular season and the Ivy League Championship Game, and now they meet in the 2019 NCAA Quarterfinals. No. 5 seed Yale (13-3) and No. 4 Penn (12-3) square off at 2:30 on the real grass of Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn., Sunday on ESPNU. -

Yale Outscores Georgetown 19-16 in NCAA Game
May 11, 2019The defending national champions are moving on to the 2019 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals after beating Georgetown 19-16 at Reese Stadium today. Yale, the No. 5 seed, used 31 face-off wins from TD Ierlan and four-goal games from Matt Gaudet and Matt Brandau to get the NCAA first-round victory in front of 1,689 on a sun-splashed day. -
Ierlan Finalist for Tewaaraton
May 09, 2019TD Ierlan, who leads the nation in face-off win percentage and ground balls, has been named one of five finalists for the 2019 Tewaaraton Award. The junior from Victor, N.Y., could become the second consecutive Yale Lacrosse player to receive the award. -

May 07, 2019The Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team (12-3) has earned a No. 5 seed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament and hosts Georgetown (13-4) this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Reese Stadium in a first-round contest aired by ESPNU. The winner of Saturday’s game at New Haven takes on the survivor of the Penn-Army meeting in an NCAA quarterfinal game at Hartford’s Rentschler Field on Sunday, May 19. -

April 30, 2019There is some déjà vu for No. 2 ranked Yale heading into the 2019 Ivy League Tournament. The Bulldogs (11-2, 5-1 Ivy), who face No. 9 Cornell (10-4, 4-2) in the second semifinal on Friday, had the same overall regular-season record in 2018 with just two overtime losses separating them from a monumental campaign. The Yale-Cornell game is slated for ESPNU 30 minutes after the 6 p.m. semifinal between No. 3 Penn and Brown. The winners play Sunday at noon. -
7 Bulldogs Named All-Ivy
April 30, 2019The Bulldogs placed five on the first team and a pair on the second squad as the 2019 All-Ivy League Teams were announced today. Equally significant was the selection of TD Ierlan as the league’s player of the year. -
Ierlan Gets 4th Ivy Honor
April 29, 2019Breaking NCAA records is nothing new for TD Ierlan, who established single-season face-off standards last spring before transferring to Yale. The junior FOGO added the single-game record to his resume last Saturday at Harvard when he won all 26 attempts, which has earned him Ivy League Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this spring. -

Daniggelis Picked in PLL Draft
April 24, 2019John Daniggelis was likely more focused on completing his final undergraduate semester and getting his teammates firing on all cylinders for the end of the regular season and the beginning of tournament play. However, on Tuesday, while the Yale captain was leading his No. 4 ranked team to a win at home, he was selected in the inaugural Premier Lacrosse League Collegiate Draft. -

April 23, 2019TD Ierlan quickly snatched the opening face-off before Brendan Rooney converted the Jackson Morrill feed just 43 seconds into the cross-county contest at Reese Stadium. The No. 4 Yale Men’s Lacrosse team was off and running to a 24-8 victory over Quinnipiac in the Bulldogs’ final home game. -
