  • Bonelli Joins Stannard’s Staff As Assistant Coach

    Michael Bonelli, who has 15 years of collegiate coaching experience, has joined Kylie Stannard’s staff as an assistant coach. Bonelli, who most recently served as the head coach at VMI, has experience in the Big Ten, The Patriot League and the Horizon League.
  • Winhoffer Excels With Philippine National Team At AFF U23 LG Cup

    Mark Winhoffer had a unique opportunity to test himself against the top players in Asia in February. Winfhoffer, a sophomore, played for the Philippine National Team at the Asean Football Federation Under-23 Championship in Cambodia.
  • Yuste Elected 2019-20 Captain

    Miguel Yuste has been one of Yale’s most dynamic players during his time as a Bulldog. In his final season, he also will be one of the team’s leaders. Yuste was recently elected captain of the 2019-20 Yale men’s soccer team.
  • School Of Management Hosting Yale Soccer Conference Feb. 9-10

    Elite leaders from all facets of business, sports and entertainment industries are coming to Yale’s campus on Feb. 9-10 for the Yale Soccer Conference, a student-led conference organized by the Yale School of Management’s soccer club, SOM United. The goal of the conference is to promote the role of management in the multi-billion-dollar soccer industry.
  • Downs Signs Pro Contract With Hartford Athletic

    Nicky Downs won’t have to travel far to begin his professional soccer career. Downs, a first team All-Ivy selection this fall, has signed with the Hartford Athletic for its inaugural season. Hartford Athletic competes in the United Soccer League’s Championship level, one of most successful professional soccer leagues in the world.
  • Fall Academic All-Ivy Announced

    The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2018-19 Academic All-Ivy honors in its fall sports today, and 10 Bulldogs were honored. The 10 were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages.
  • Downs Named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American

    Nicky Downs has earned another accolade for his success on the field and in the classroom. Downs was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Second Team.

  • Four Bulldogs Earn All-Ivy Honors, Downs Named First Team

    Once again, the progress the Yale men’s soccer team is making is reflected in the post season recognition received. For the second straight year, four Bulldogs have been named All-Ivy. Senior Nicky Downs, who is tied for fourth in the league with 13 points, was selected to the first team, captain Cameron Riach and first year Paolo Carroll each earned second team recognition and junior Justin Lobe was honorable mention.
  • Carroll Named Ivy League Rookie Of Week For Fourth Time

    Paolo Carroll capped a very strong first year with the Yale men’s soccer team by scoring the winning goal in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Princeton. Two days later, he was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.

    The Yale men’s soccer team sent its Class of 2019 off on a high note as the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 1-0 on a windy day at Reese Stadium.
  • Yale Hosts Princeton on Senior Day

    The Bulldogs will host the first-place Tigers for the final game of their 2018 season. This matchup marks the final career game for nine seniors on the Eli roster. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Reese Stadium on Saturday, and the game will be available on ESPN+.
  • Two Bulldogs Named to Academic All-District First Team

    Nicky Downs and Kyle Kenagy have excelled on the pitch for the Yale men’s soccer team throughout their four years in New Haven. On Thursday, however, they were recognized for their tremendous achievements in the classroom. The two Yale seniors were named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

    Yale held the advantage in scoring opportunities over the course of 90 minutes at Stevenson-Pincince Field, but Brown prevailed with a 1–0 victory behind a first-half goal from Toby Howell.

    Yale played a dominant second half Saturday against Columbia. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs it wasn’t quite enough to overcome the Lions’ strong first half. Columbia scored early and late in the opening 45 minutes and escaped with a 2-1 victory on a rainy and windy afternoon at Reese Stadium.
  • Columbia Visits On Grassroot Soccer Day

    Yale begins the stretch run of the Ivy League season by hosting Columbia on Saturday. Kickoff at Reese Stadium is slated for 1 p.m. and ESPN+ has the video. Both the Bulldogs and Lions remain in the hunt for the Ivy title, but both have little margin for error.
  • Bulldogs Earn 1-1 Draw With Penn

    Yale’s Kyle Kenagy scored in the first half, and Penn’s Jake Kohlbrenner answered in the second half as the Bulldogs and Quakers played a 1-1 draw at Reese Stadium. Yale outshot Penn 17-8 and had a 7-2 edge in corner kicks, but couldn’t get a second goal.
  • Bulldogs Host Penn On Alumni Day

    After playing its first three Ivy games on the road, the Yale men’s soccer team finally gets to host a league game when Penn visits on Saturday. Kickoff on Alumni Day at Reese Stadium is slated for 4 p.m., following the Yale-Penn women’s game, which is a 1 p.m. kickoff. ESPN+ has the video.

    Another trip to the state of New York, another thrilling victory for the Yale men’s soccer team. Aldo Quevedo’s goal with 1:46 left in the second half snapped a 1-1 tie and lifted the Bulldogs to a dramatic 2-1 win over Army West Point at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.

    Yale made a big statement in Ivy League men’s soccer on Saturday in Ithaca, N.Y. Kyle Kenagy’s goal with 3:11 left in the first overtime period lifted the Bulldogs to a thrilling 2-1 victory over No. 18 Cornell. The loss was the Big Red’s first in Ivy play and snapped its eight-game winning streak.

    Yale’s Aldo Quevedo and Dartmouth’s Yima Asom traded goals in the second half as the Bulldogs and Big Green played a 1-1 draw in Hanover, N.H. Yale had the edge in play, outshooting Dartmouth 17-9.

  • Ivy Road Swing Continues At Dartmouth

    The first weekend was a good indication of the parity that exists in Ivy League men’s soccer. Three of the four games either ended in a tie or were decided by one goal. Yale was involved in one of those tight games, dropping a 1-0 decision at Harvard despite having a decided edge in play. The Bulldogs can expect another hard-fought game when they travel to Dartmouth on Saturday. Kickoff at Burnham Field is slated for 4:30 p.m. and ESPN+ has the video.
