NEW HAVEN, Conn.—After a month of training, the No. 8 Yale men's squash team is primed and ready to compete against No. 24 Amherst and No. 21 Williams in back-to-back away matches on Sunday.
The No. 8 Bulldogs' first match of 2018 will be against Amherst (4-0). The Mammoths had an impressive start to their season with early wins over Tufts, Boston University, Connecticut College and Northeastern. The Yale men have not seen Amherst in the regular season since December 2013, when Yale prevailed 8-1.
The match will give Yale the opportunity to test their skills on the road in the New Year. The team's endurance will also be examined, as they are set to play against Williams (1-7) later in the day.
The last time Yale saw Williams in the regular season was in January 2016, where the Yale men won 8-1. The Bulldogs are excited to incorporate the Ephs back into their schedule and challenge themselves with two away matches in the same day.
Yale will play against Amherst starting at 11:00 a.m. and against Williams at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
