NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The No. 9 Yale men's squash team fell to No. 2 Columbia on Saturday with a final score of 6-3.
The Bulldogs put up an admirable fight throughout the afternoon with four of nine matches extending beyond three games.
Both Kingshott and Losty were able to close in just three matches. Losty opened the match with the first win of the day, and Kingshott dominated over his previously undefeated opponent.
Martin kept the crowd on the edge of their seats in a four-game match. After scoring only a single point in the first game, Martin came back to win three consecutive games. The final game of the match was a barn-burner, reaching a final score of 14-12.
The Bulldogs will take to the courts again tomorrow when they host Cornell at the Brady Squash Center in Payne Whitney Gymnasium. The match will begin at noon.
