New Haven, Conn. – The Yale tennis team put on a strong showing at the 2010 USTA Men's Tennis Invitational over the weekend, capturing the championship in the A and B Singles and A Doubles Draw.

In A Singles, sophomore Daniel Hoffman defeated Milo Hauk of St. John's 6-3, 6-3 in Sunday's final to secure the tournament victory.  Hoffman won all four of his weekend matches in straight sets, beating Ivy League opponents from Princeton, Brown, and Penn along the way.

In B Singles, junior Erik Blumenkranz defeated Princeton's Alex Faust in the final on Sunday morning 6-4, 6-1.  Blumenkranz faced a difficult road to victory, being pushed to three sets in two of his four matches, including a thrilling 6-0, 5-7, 11-9 win over Stefan Bojic of St. John's in the semifinals.

Sophomores Marc Powers and Hoffman teamed up in A Doubles, winning four matches on the way to the tournament title.  In Sunday's final the duo topped the Harvard pairing of Aba Omodele-Lucien and Josh Tchan 8-3 for the win.

The Bulldogs will return to action next weekend for All-American pre-qualifying.
