NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's track and field team competed earlier today in the first day of the Raleigh Relays, hosted by N.C. State University. Eight Bulldogs competed today, with four of them setting new personal records. Trevor Reinhart headlined today's races with his runner-up finish in the 1500m run, moving up from seventh to second with the fastest final lap of the entire field. His time of 3:45.11 is a fast start to the season, and it should set him up well moving toward the end of the semester.

Allen Siegler had a great race today, finishing third in his heat and setting a new personal record of 3:50.72. Matt Chisholm was the next fastest Bulldog in the 1500m run, finishing with a time of 3:50.91. Thomas Gmür placed third in his heat, running a time of 3:52.07. Armstrong Noonan set a new personal record of 3:54.39 and placed sixth in his heat. Will Laird and Cameron Wyman were the final Bulldogs across the line today, both setting new personal records of 3:55.43 and 3:55.91, respectively. Today's 1500m runners showed promise that they will be successful and competitive as the season progresses. Charlie Gardner was the only Bulldog today not to compete in the 1500m run; he finished the 5,000m run with a time of 15:07.61.

Results from today, as well as tomorrow, can be found here. Competition will continue tomorrow for the Bulldogs with James Lewis in the 800m run, as well as a 4x800m relay team comprised of some of today's 1500m competitors. A recap and results will be posted following the conclusion of the meet.
