PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale men's track and field team continued its good form Saturday as the Bulldogs began their last onslaught at NCAA First Round performances on Saturday at the IC4A Championships at Princeton.

The race went out fast in the 800m run. Sophomore Cameron Wyman came through the bell in 54.31 seconds and held on to finish fourth in his heat in a rapid 1.52.99. This not only represents a season's best for Wyman, but the completion of a great weekend: he ran 1.53.11 to win his heat at the Army West Point Twilight meet on Thursday evening.

Finishing his season in style was Will Laird in the 1500m dash. After running a huge new personal record of 3.50.71 at West Point on Thursday, he continued his good form with a 3.52.55 to take third in his heat.

Star steeplechaser Robert Miranda then lined up with his sights set firmly on potential NCAA First Round qualification. The ever-reliable first year ran another tough race to take 10th in a time of 9.10.75, his second-fastest ever.

First-year Jack Dunn was the sole Bulldog in the field events on Saturday. He launched the hammer 160' 04" to finish a successful and promising first season as a Bulldog.

The afternoon was completed with the 5000m run. First-years Cade Brown and Brendan Murray went into the race in search of continuing a fantastic, PR-filled season. Murray finished his heat in third with a time of 14.31.98, just two seconds shy of his PR, while Brown ran strongly to take 11th. In the following heat, junior Jonathan Lomogda ran 14.32.78: a good day for the distance squad.

As the Bulldogs turn their attention to the summer, the NCAA First Round, the Harvard-Yale-Oxford-Cambridge trip, their training, and the cross-country season that lies beyond they should feel buoyed by their clear improvements and the strength that lies in their first-year and sophomore classes.
