Yale wrapped up the fall racing season with a strong showing on the final day of the Head of the Charles in Boston. The Bulldogs had two eights entered in the championship eight and both raced well. The varsity was the fourth fastest collegiate finisher and placed sixth overall with a time of 17:24.904. The second varsity was the fastest collegiate 2v and posted a time of 18:09.616.

A US Rowing crew won the championship eight with a time of 16:41.776. Stanford (16:58.089) was the fastest collegiate crew.

"Today was a tough day on the Charles. The wind was blowing and the competition was very good," said Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "We did not start well but we finished strong. This young group grew up a bit on the water today. It is a great step. Now it is time to get to work to see how strong we can get this winter."

Yale's third eight that competed on Saturday, won the club eight championship.

Yale kicks off the spring season on Mar. 16-17 at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational in Tennessee.
