Hagmaier Drives In Two Runs Vs. North Dakota
PHOENIX, Ariz. - Yale played two more tight games at the Grand Canyon Purple Classic, falling 5-3 to Boise State and 6-5 to North Dakota.
The Bulldogs nearly pulled off a big comeback in the first game of the day against Boise State. Yale scored twice in the seventh inning. The big hit in the inning was an RBI triple from Sydney Grobman.
First year Nic Conway pitched five innings of relief and struck out four.
North Dakota scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning in Yale's second game.
Yale scored three times in the first inning, once in the third and once in the fifth.
The Bulldogs wrap up play in the tournament on Sunday when they face Grand Canyon at 3 p.m. EST.
