NEW HAVEN, Conn.—With three regular season wins in December, the No. 6 Yale women had a successful start to their season. The Bulldogs look to add to their victories this Sunday, when they take on No. 16 Amherst and No. 14 Williams on the road.
The Bulldogs have spent the past month training hard in preparation for next two months of their season, which is slotted with a challenging 11-match schedule before the CSA Team Championships in February.
The Bulldogs' (3-0) first match of 2018 will be against Amherst (4-0). Last year, the Yale women were able to trounce the Mammoths in the regular season with a full 9-0 sweep. Yale will look to repeat that performance as they strive toward their goal of finishing in the nation's top three teams.
After they face Amherst, the Yale women's endurance will be tested as they go directly into a match against Williams (2-6). Opening the New Year with back-to-back matches in the same day will prepare the Bulldogs for the level of intensity they will face later in the season.
Yale is set to compete against Amherst at 11:00 a.m. and will see Williams at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
