NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The No. 6 Yale women's squash team will look to continue its winning streak and improve its record (5-0, 1-0 Ivy) this weekend, as the Bulldogs take on No. 5 Penn and No. 3 Princeton.
Coming off four successive 9-0 sweeps, the Bulldogs have shown that they have what it takes to compete, even under pressure. The team has also demonstrated they can travel well, which will prove crucial in the Bulldogs' sixth and seventh consecutive away matches.
Saturday's match will be Penn's first Ivy League competition of the season, and an opportunity for the Bulldogs to unseat a team ranked above them. Though Penn has seen early success, their margins of victory have been less than those of the Bulldogs.
While Yale blanked Williams 9-0, Penn finished its match against the Ephs 6-3.
On Sunday, Yale will take on Princeton (5-1). The Tigers have posted wins against Drexel, Franklin & Marshall and Williams, all of whom have fallen to the Bulldogs as well. The matchup will be a battle of wills, and Yale is sure to come out in full force in pursuit of its goals.
The Bulldogs will compete against Penn on Saturday and Princeton on Sunday. Both matches will begin at 12:00 p.m.
