HANOVER, N.H.- The Bulldogs, coming off a strong first day at the Big Green Invitational, ran into an overpowering University of Massachusetts team on the second day and struggled to back up their solid results from yesterday.

Things got off to a good start for Yale, as No. 1 Samantha Martinelli, coming off a tough loss to Dartmouth's No. 1, had little trouble with her Minutewomen counterpart, winning her singles match 6-2, 6-0. That would be the only win on the day for the Bulldogs, as Yang, Zordani, Shrivastava, and Swett all lost in straight sets.

Swett & Martinelli, who won two matches as a pair yesterday, were unable to carry their success into Saturday and suffered a 6-0 loss to UMass's No 1. doubles team. The Shrivastava/Zordani and Yang/Amos teams also came up short.

Yale will look to rebound on Sunday, where match play will start at 2:00 p.m.
