NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's tennis team begins their 2019 spring campaign at home this weekend with the Yale Kickoff, which will pit the Bulldogs against St John's and instate foe Fairfield. Because of the storm forecast for Sunday, all matches will now be Saturday.

The team flashed potential throughout the fall season, with excellent showings at the ITA Northeast Regional, Bulldog Invitational and Big Green Invitational. Transfer Caroline Dunleavy and 2018 team MVP Samantha Martinelli reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Northeast Regional singles bracket, while the team's trio of first-years-- Raissa Lou, Jessie Gong and Kathy Wang-- also put up strong debuts, combining to go 14-3 across the Bulldog and Big Green Invites.

Led by senior captain Amy Yang and Swensen-McMahon Head Coach of Women's Tennis Danielle McNamara, the team is well positioned to make a run at claiming the Ivy League title.

The Schedule:

9am                     St. John's vs. Fairfield
12pm                   St. John's vs. Yale
3pm                     Yale vs. Fairfield
