PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Yale women's tennis team (12-10, 4-2 Ivy) lost a tough match against an excellent Penn team (15-5, 4-2 Ivy) earlier Saturday afternoon.

The Quakers got off to a solid start in doubles with two 6-2 victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 matches. Jessie Gong and Samantha Martinelli were unable to finish with Penn having already clinched the doubles point.

Penn continued their stellar play in singles. Star first year Iuliia Bryzgalova defeated Martinelli in a two set thriller 6-4, 6-4. Caroline Dunleavy rebounded with a 6-4, 6-4 win of her own before Penn closed out the match with straight set wins in the No. 4 and No. 5 matches.
